Sinterklaas Eve Celebration
Friday Dec 1 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Downtown Holland
Reminiscent of years gone by, this traditional Dutch folk event celebrates Sinterklaas, the benevolent St. Nicholas. Listen to stories, make a Dutch lantern, and play family games at the Holland Armory (16 West 9th Street) beginning at 6:00 pm. Sinterklaas will arrive on his great white horse shortly after 7:00 p.m. to lead children and their families on procession to Centennial Park, where he will greet the crowd and lead the lighting of the Christmas tree. Afterward, join Sinterklaas at the Holland Museum (31 West 10th Street) for photo opportunities, holiday crafts in the galleries, and tasty cocoa and cookies.
