Tulip Time Festival
Saturday May 7 – Saturday May 14, 201674 West 8th Street
If you’re looking for a beautiful spring destination, think Tulip Time in Holland, Michigan!
The festival began in 1929 to beautify the City of Holland with tulips and celebrate Dutch heritage in the community. In 2016 Tulip Time will celebrate its 87th year. Today the fun continues with three parades, Dutch Dancers, national and local entertainment, dinner shows, a Dutch market, fireworks, and the stars of the show, millions of tulips blooming throughout Holland and along 6 miles of Tulip Lanes.
Tulip Time parades are some of the largest and most spectacular events in Michigan. Thousands of spectators line the streets to watch amazing floats, marching bands, Dutch Dancers and numerous organizations present their finest in over two miles of pure celebration.
One of the most entertaining treats is the Dutch Dance. Nearly one thousand dancers dressed in authentic costumes and wooden shoes, high-kick their way through traditional dances. If it’s genuine Dutch souvenirs you seek, you can find them at the Dutch Marktplaats along with traditional Dutch food, art and musical performances.
Don’t miss the chance to see the festival consistently named among North America’s Top 100 Events!
