Entwined Environments: Work by Ken Foster and Lisa Medendorp
Thursday May 25150 East 8th Street
Entwined Environments explores the environmentally focused work of two artists, Ken Foster and Lisa Medendorp. While Lisa Medendorp works with paint on two-dimensional canvases and Ken Foster uses reclaimed materials to create three-dimensional, tactile forms and structures, their work unites under their theme of the interconnected web of nature.
Medendorp’s curvilinear, non-objective shapes mirror the three-dimensional weavings of Foster’s reclaimed materials and tell stories about how everything in nature is related and highlight the importance of taking care of our environment.
Join us as we open the exhibition with wine, light snacks and conversation with the artists on Thursday, May 25 from 6 to 8pm. The exhibition and opening are free and open to the public. The exhibition will be on display through July 1.
The exhibition is open when the Arts Council is open: Monday, 5:30-8pm; Tuesday and Thursday, 10am-8pm; Wednesday and Friday, 10am-5pm; Saturday, 10am-3pm; Sunday, 12-3pm
