Koffe Kletz: "The Friesian Connection"
Saturday Dec 9 10:00amWindmill Island Gardens
Ever noticed the beautiful black horses in the pasture at Windmill Island Gardens? They are Friesians – a breed native to the Netherlands with a long, distinguished history. On December 9, Janice VerMerris of the Friesian Connection will enlighten us on the history of these stately horses and how her family came to breed them in West Michigan. She’ll explain the breed’s unique nature which makes them a source of pride in the Netherlands and a frequent star in Hollywood movies! There will be plenty for history and horse-lover alike. Join us for JP’s coffee and a great conversation on Saturday, December 9 at 10am. Please let us know you’re coming by registering at Eventbrite or calling 355-1030.
For those of you regulars, Kletzes this year are planned for December 9, January 13, February 10 and March 17. As always, Koffie Kletzes are free for Friends of Windmill Island Gardens with a suggested donation of $5 for visitors. (Friends sign-ups available in our office.)
