Join us for the opening reception for Karen VanDam Michermhuizen’s work on Thursday, June 8 from 6 to 8pm. We’ll have wine and light snacks and conversations with the artist. The reception and exhibit are free and open to the public.

The exhibition will be open from June 8 through July 29 in the Lienvense Gallery. The show will contain recent work by Karen VanDam Michmerhuizen, who was raised on a farm in Western Michigan and lives in Holland. Her work will consist of still life, floral, and landscape, both studio work and plein air. Michmerhuizen’s love of gardening, nature, and art meld together to produce works that reflect the ordinary and everyday aspects of our lives which we tend to overlook. Putting paint to canvas gives us all a chance to enjoy the moment through the artist’s eyes.
