You’ve likely heard of the eternal Dutch struggle against the water. Now learn about their weapon of choice: the poldermill. We’ll enjoy a segment on these powerful mills from the award-winning documentary ‘The Story of Dutch Windmills’. We’ll also discuss their expertise in water management. Join us on November 10 at 10am to learn how the Dutch stay dry well below sea level.

Koffie Kletz at Windmill Island Gardens is a series of casual Saturday morning gatherings where community members learn about topics relevant to Dutch culture, Holland culture and Windmill Island Gardens. Each Kletz will feature a presentation and discussion time over coffee. These events are free to Windmill Island Gardens Annual Members with a suggested donation of $5 for non-members.
