October 8 and 9, 2021 is the 150th anniversary of “The Night America Burned”. Five fires sprang up across the Midwest, including the Holland Fire which burned 80% of the city. On Saturday, October 9, join us at the Holland Museum for a special day of remembrance including a display of artifacts that survived the fire, a timeline of events, readings of first-hand accounts from the fire, and historical walking tours.
